Here are five freebies to convince you that you don't need to part
with any cash for your website marketing strategies.
I'll go into more detail on the practicalities elsewhere in this
section, but here's a simple list for starters ...
1) Put your website's URL on all stationery and packaging
Once you've determined what
your URL is going to be get it 'out there'.
It should be prominent on all your business items and it's easier
to remember a well-chosen URL that it is to remember a long phone
number.
Once they've found your website they can find out everything they
need to know about you.
So make the most of your URL - it's a best, free marketing tool
you've got as it opens the door to everything you do.
2) Include your URL in your email signature
Every time you send an email - whether to friend, family, colleague
or people making business enquiries, include your website URL.
It's always about getting the next click when you're working online.
They click on the link in your email to check out your site.
They like your site so they click around.
They find an article that really interests them, so click on the
Google ad.
You make a sale and take a commission.

3) Submit your website to the top search engines for free
You don't have to pay a penny to submit to the search engines.
Don't pay for this service, just submit your website to the 'big
four':
- Google
- Yahoo!
- Ask.com
- Bing
It's a bit like the lottery.
If you don't have a ticket, you can't win.
The same applies with search engines.
If you're not listed, your customers can't find you.
4) Tell a friend
Don't ignore what's right under your nose. Network
marketers are great at this offline technique.
They have calling cards stuffed in their pockets, they wear badges
inviting you to chat, they put bumper stickers in their car window.

5) Swap links
As far as website marketing strategies go, this is one for later on
on in the day, but it's still free and it's absolutely essential.
You must have good quality, incoming links for your website for
search engine success.
It brings you targeted traffic and the search engines love it.
You mustn't link to any old website, nor should you get involved
with 'link farms' where you can obtain poor quality, low yield links.
Swap links with quality sites which are related to your own.
It's free and highly effective and one of the website marketing
strategies which every webmaster MUST do at some stage.
