Online genealogist Have you researched your own family history? Why not charge other people to research theirs and create a 'tips and advice' website?

Stock photography service Great with a camera? Either sell stock photos through your own website, or make money posting them to existing services like Stockxpert.com.

Freelance writer Great with words? Don't keep it to yourself, write stuff for other people - articles, press releases, brochures, speeches etc.

Online dating Either join a franchise service or download the software to set up in business for yourself though make sure you check out rules and advice on privacy, data protection and personal security first

Online translation services Great with a language but don't want to teach? Offer a web-based translation service.

Virtual assistant This is catching on in a big way and the web is the ideal medium to run this service. Take care of day-to-day administrative tasks for busy (or rich!) professionals.

Online secretarial services Take a letter, type up notes from meetings ... and remember that you can use a service like Skype for dictation from an office location to your home office and laptop.

Podcasting Like blogging, but produced as audio downloads and available via iTunes and other similar services. Share your expertise or enthusiasms in audio download form.

Run a niche forum Love something really obscure which is a really specialist subject? Are there other like-minded people out there? Run an online forum for them and monetize it with ads and promos.

Become a reseller Did you know that you can sell web hosting and domain name services for other companies and generate commissions?. Many providers offer this service, search for the term 'reseller' in Google.
